Yesterday was Christina’s birthday and our pal Alex suggested doing a parody of Norman Rockwell’s famous Freedom from Want painting- his bat-fox fella is the photo bomber in the bottom corner and I went ahead and made all the rest of the cake recipients Rosies because I could. Happa birthda!! No Steves allowed!

I first drew these beasts six years ago today and I only remember that because they share the same birthday as my cousin. If I had a penny for every time I have drawn them floating irrelevantly in empty space since then I would have so many pennies.

GRACIOUS! He looks so happy and excited! That’s essentially the face I made when I saw this and would have been the pose too if I hadn’t been in bed at the time. You make the featheriest tails! They’re so fluffy and adorable and your coloring always wows me- they blend together like merging ice cream flavors or candies and look like they would have a taste if licked. Let him. Let him lick you, grandpa.
